OPEN NOMINATION FOR 
RECOGNITION OF NEWS PAPERS!

Dear friends and Colleagues, Brothers and Sisters, Our meeting with the Hon. Jack Layton, MP, Leader of the Federal NDP, is postponed for one more time due to political developments in Ottawa. The meeting will be rescheduled for the next Monday, probably during the Month of July, I will keep you updated. The nomination process for recognition of ethnic publications is now open and we will accept nominations until the end of June 2005.

If your publication is published for more than five years, has editorial content about your community and Canada, please send in one copy of the three best issues of your publication along with a sort historical note and also about the publisher and editor.

Few supporting letters from your community will also help.

Nominations will be accepted for best editorial, graphics and the art of the paper, at the same time we are going to recognize one or two individual publishers or editor for lifetime achievement.

The awards will be presented by His Honour the L. Governor of Ontario, on Thursday, September the 15th, during a special ceremony at the Queen’s Park offices of His Honour. A reception will be followed in honour of those recognized.
